Olivia Rodrigo’s “SOUR” Just Hit 18 Billion Streams
It's a record no woman has reached. Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR has passed 18 billion streams on Spotify. No album by a woman has ever reached that mark. Rodrigo released it in 2021, when she was 18, and it has kept going ever since.
Only three other albums have crossed the line. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti leads at 24.4 billion, The Weeknd’s Starboy sits at 20 billion, and Ed Sheeran’s Divide has 18.7 billion. SOUR now joins that group, and it’s the only one by a woman.

The Songs That Started It
It all began with “Drivers License,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. “Deja Vu” and “Good 4 U” followed. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and at the 2022 Grammys, Rodrigo won Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
The staying power may be the most impressive part. Every track on the record has passed 400 million streams, a first for any album on the platform. Four of its songs have each topped 2 billion.
Coming to Seattle This December
You don’t need an app to hear it live. Rodrigo’s Unraveled Tour is working its way across the country and lands at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena for two dates in December. For her fans in North Central Wenatchee, that’s a drive over Stevens Pass. Tickets sold out fast, so if you’re thinking about making the trip, check a trusted third-party site like StubHub or SeatGeek.
