Plymouth, Washington is a short 33-minute drive from Tri-Cities and is famous for a number of things - including hidden treasure at the bottom of the Columbia River, a cool campground, and this fun hike near McNary Dam.
At 375 feet, the High Steel Bridge is the tallest railroad bridge ever built and is listed in the National Historic Site registry. Present day, the bridge still stands sturdy as ever and is safe for vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and yes, even bungee jumping.
It wasn’t a big deal to me to see a total eclipse. Since everyone else around me was so excited about it, especially my kindergarten teacher, I faked being excited, too.
